The Story Behind Ezra Zion Cigars
Ezra Zion traces its beginnings to August 2012, when the young boutique company arrived at the IPCPR cigar trade show with a tiny booth and essentially one cigar: Inception.
There wasn't a giant portfolio or massive sales operation behind them. The idea was much simpler: make something they believed was exceptional and let the tobacco speak for itself.
More than a decade later, that boutique mentality is still easy to see.
Rather than building a catalog where the same cigars are available year after year, Ezra Zion has become particularly well known for creating small-batch and limited-production cigars using carefully selected tobacco—often with significant age already on the leaf.
Some releases use tobacco aged well beyond what you'll typically encounter in everyday production cigars.
For example, Ezra Zion's 13 Year Anniversary featured tobaccos aged between 5 and 15 years, including a 13-year-aged Criollo '98 Rosado wrapper.
That's the kind of tobacco library that gives their blending team some seriously interesting ingredients to work with.
Rare & Aged Tobacco Is at the Heart of Ezra Zion

Today, Nomad operates as an extension of the Ezra Zion blending universe, but with an interesting purpose.
According to the brand, some blends are simply produced in quantities too small for a normal Ezra Zion release. Instead of abandoning those projects, they can become Nomad by Ezra Zion releases.
Think of Nomad as the small batch of an already small batch.
Production numbers can be incredibly limited.
A Nomad release such as White Chocolate Truffles, for example, had a total production of only 300 cigars and utilized tobaccos aged between 6 and 12 years.
Nomad Nitro Cold Brew took things even further, featuring a triple-fermented, 14-year-aged Oscuro wrapper, with the tobaccos in the blend aged between 6 and 14 years.
That's why you might see a new Nomad cigar at Cigar 30 one week and discover it's completely gone shortly afterward.
With many of these releases, once they're gone, they're gone.
