The Fuente Fuente OpusX Lost City Double Robusto cigars are produced in extremely limited quantities, with only 500 boxes made at a time. If you’re lucky enough to find them in stock, you’re in for something special. These cigars are crafted with 100% Dominican tobaccos grown at Chateau de la Fuente, featuring a rich, dark chocolate brown wrapper and an exceptional blend of aged long-fillers, all aged for five years.

The story behind these cigars ties back to 2004 when Andy Garcia was filming The Lost City. He wanted to film a pivotal scene at Chateau de la Fuente in July, but tobacco plants wouldn’t normally be growing then—they’re typically harvested by March. To help Garcia, Carlito Fuente planted a summer crop specifically for the movie. After filming, the tobacco was harvested and aged.

Initially, Carlito planned for the summer crop to serve only as a backdrop for the film, but Andy Garcia had a bigger vision. After the shoot, Garcia suggested using the tobacco to create a cigar bearing The Lost City logo, with proceeds supporting Carlito’s charitable foundation.

As a result, the Lost City Scholarship Fund was created to provide college scholarships to graduates of the Cigar Family high school. The Cigar Family Charitable Foundation continues to offer education and health services to underprivileged children in the Bonao region of the Dominican Republic, making these cigars not only rare but also deeply meaningful.
